The Healthy Living Newsletter brings you health updates and tips for optimizing your life, health, and work.
Happy Thanksgiving to our US subscribers. And to those of you who are new to the Healthy Living News, welcome.
Since it is Thanksgiving, with an abbreviated work week, I'm going to "walk my talk" and just send a short message. I'll be back next time with an update from the recent American Heart Association scientific sessions, and with other breaking health and medical news.
I hope that you and your loved ones have a wonderful holiday. We have so much for which to be thankful, including our health. As you prepare to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal, and give thanks for all that you have, please recommit to taking care of your health.
Holiday stress can take a toll on you, so take time for you--de-stress and make the holidays more joyous. Would that mean doing less? Would it mean involving other family members in more of the holiday responsibilities? Would it mean deciding what's most important for you and your loved ones and forgoing the rest? In our family, we're focused on how to give each other the gift of "time" this holiday season, which can be manifested in many ways.
As you're reviewing your holiday gift list and getting ready for Friday's official kickoff of the holiday shopping season, please consider giving the gift of good health to yourself and others with my new book, A Woman's Guide to Saving Her Own Life. If you're confused by all the health hype out there, this book will cut through the clutter. It can save your life.
What better gift could you give yourself and all the women in your life? If you're not sure why you should do this, please read the first two chapters online (click on the book cover), or watch my story. You could also watch PBS' Heart Disease: The Silent Killer, featuring four cardiologists and myself talking about what you need to know about heart disease. It could make a huge difference.
This book should grab the attention of Type A women
who think they are invincible.
